All classes take place at the outdoor Route 72 Cafe. 

There is a 15-30 minute window before/after classes to purchase a pre-workout pick-me-up coffee or healthy recovery snack post-workout! The cafe remains closed during classes.

Class Options: 

Below you will find the current class options available. 

All classes are taught by Charlie 'CGR' Cooke (ANutr); registered England Boxing amateur coach, qualified personal trainer, and AfN accredited nutritionist with a particular personal focus on helping people of all abilities feel included and wanting to actively participate in boxing-based fitness. You can learn more about Charlie's personal principles in his mission statement here.

All abilities are welcome and catered to in every class, from competitive boxers to those suffering chronic injuries (or a lifetime lack of exercise!). The beauty of boxing and 1-2-1 interaction is that all exercises and intensities can be modified for every individual while still remaining a group activity. 

A breakdown is provided of what can be expected in each class and if any equipment is required. And last but not least, good music is a must. No generic dance tracks allowed! 

Non-Competitive Boxing

COVID-safe class utilising real boxing training but without any pressure to perform. Focusing on boxing technique and social activities, this class will see you through a thorough warm-up before engaging in boxing technique and basics, getting a good sweat on in the calorie burning rounds, and finishing up with a mindful stretch and round of applause.

Fight Camp

Ever wanted to train like a Rocky montage? Well now you can. In this 30-minute high-intensity bootcamp class we will work in timed circuits between different exercises, ranging from pushups and burpees to tyre flips and sledgehammers. Yes. It is very fun.

Rise Tribe

Rise and shine? No. Rise and grind. Start your day right with this 30-minute group training session, keeping yourself and your tribe accountable to the goals you set when you set that alarm clock. With a mix of mobility, warm up, cardio, and weight training, get your body and mind ready to tackle the day. Don't worry, the cafe will be open for a coffee after class.

Core, Stretch, & Breath

You've done all the hard work... now breath! Exactly what it says on the tin, we will start this class with a full-body mobility warm-up, balance and core strength work, followed by a destress stretch and some mindfulness. The workout that makes the most difference to your recovery! 

Heavy Metal 

A heavy-metal Heavy Metal session! Relaxed format weightlifting session infusing elements of powerlifting, strongman, Olympic lifting and cross-fit. The perfect class for beginners to learn good form and seasoned lifters to set new PBs and share their knowledge! A less structured class with a community feeling, though still fully supervised by qualified, registered and insured personal trainer, Charlie. 

Youth Boxing

Are you wanting the best for your kids both physically and mentally? There's nothing better for self confidence, discipline, and self reliance than boxinf training, which is why we bring this highly engaging class to help your kids develop a new skillset, fitness and ability to set up their body and mind right for the rest of their life. (Coach Charlie holds valid safeguarding, enhanced DBS and coaching certifications for peace of mind)

Parent and Child Boxing 

A 30-min pair-work session focusing on team-building activities to promote confidence, fitness, coordination, and overall health using a wholly diverse boxing skill set. No better way to progress as a team than to progress as a family! 

Spar Work

This is not fight club - this is an opportunity to massively increase your coordination, perception, balance, fitness, and understanding of boxing using sparring drills varying from semi to full contact. Although a gum shield is mandatory, there is no interest in anyone getting hurt. It's all about scoring points with punches and having fun! 

This is a technical sparring class and there is a zero-tolerance policy on anyone unable to control their power or emotions in class. Gum shield mandatory. Previous attendance at boxing classes required to assess ability/competence. Get in touch with any questions!
